Blue Planet II is the sequel to the factual series of the same name, narrated by David Attenborough on BBC1. It follows all kinds of sea life whilst Attenborough gives the audience interesting facts about the different species.

In order to find the perfect locations for the series, you need special knowledge and extensive research to find out where the animals are native to. They film in locations such as, Mexico, Norway, Antartica, Australia/Western Australia, South Africa, Costa Rica, Galapagos, Bonero and the Maldives. (Sarah Marshall, Telegraph.co.uk). Filming in these places makes sense as they are all surrounded by exotic oceans containing creatures perfect for this show e.g. Wales in Noway.

The filming crew and production team would also have to take into consideration the way that nature works. They would have to make sure that the location is safe enough and make sure there are health and safety risk assessments in place before they start filming. It is important for them to make sure they don’t try anything risky and they would need to go along with the weather. ‘In order to locate the whales on the infinite fjords of northern Norway, the crew need to do what nature is telling them.’ (bbc.co.uk).
